Simplicity Socks Crochet Pattern

Simplicity Socks Crochet Pattern

9 minute read

I have an obsession with crochet socks, they are one of my most favorite things to design and I love to have a simplicity version of everything, so here is the Simplicity Socks!   Several years ago, I really became intrigued with crochet socks, so I challenged myself to figure it out and I was surprised how easy it really was.  I was overthinking it but once I realized that crochet socks were basically like making a beanie but adding a heal.  So, if you know basic crochet stitches and can work in the round (and in rows) then you can make the Simplicity Socks!

Materials

·        Yarn: Sock Yarn, Weight 1; Leither Co. Dragonfly Wings Sock Set

·        Yardage: 250 - 350 yds.

·        Hook: H (5.00mm)

·        Tapestry Needle, Scissors, Measuring Tape and Stitch Marker

Sizing

·        Gauge: 20 Stitches and 16 Rows = 4”x4” (hdc)

·        Socks sizes are measured approximately 1 inch smaller than your shoe size.

·        To pick your correct size, first measure the circumference of the widest portion of your foot and select the size based off that circumference.  Then measure the length of your foot, you want your sock to finish 2” shorter than the length of your foot before you start the heel.
