The Audrey Blanket is a beautiful texture blanket!  This blanket not only has beautiful texture but has a lacy look but still a warm snugly blanket for everyday use. You will want to make this blanket over and over again! The Audrey Blanket uses basic crochet stitches, if you can chain and double crochet, then you will be able to make this blanket, it is a little advanced just because of stitch placement but don't worry you will be able to make this gorgeous blanket!

Materials

  • Yarn: Medium, Weight 4; Vanna’s Choice (Dusty Purple, Raspberry and Lime)
  • Hook: K (6.50mm)
  • Tapestry Needle, Scissors and Measuring Tape

Sizing

  • Gauge: 12 Stitches and 7 Rows = 4”X4” (dc)
  • These measurements are approximated, adjust hook accordingly. Measurements given are without border, when border is added it will add about 1-2” of width/length

Row 2: Ch 3 and turn, 1 dc next st, skip next 2 sts, (dc 3, ch 1, dc 3) in next st, skip next 2 sts, *1 dc next 2 sts, skip next 2 sts, (dc 3, ch 1, dc 3) in next st, skip next 2 sts; repeat from*, 1 dc in last 2 sts. - 146 (178) dc

Row 3: Ch 3 and turn, 1 dc next st, skip next 2 sts, 1 dc next st, ch 1, (dc 1, ch 1, dc 1) in next ch 1 sp, ch 1, 1 dc in next st, skip 2 sts, *1 dc next 2 sts, skip 2 sts, 1 dc next st, ch 1, (dc 1, ch 1, dc 1) in next ch 1 sp, ch 1, 1 dc next st, skip 2 sts; repeat from*, 1 dc in last 2 sts. - 110 (134) dc

Row 4: Ch 3 and turn, 1 dc next st, skip next 2 sts, (dc 2, ch 3, dc 2) in next ch 1 sp, skip next 2 sts, *1 dc next 2 sts, skip 2 sts, (dc 2, ch 3, dc 2) in next ch 1 sp, skip 2 sts; repeat from*, 1 dc in last 2 sts. - 110 (134) dc

Repeat Rows 3-5 until the blanket measures 35 (60) inches long, if you want to add the border (as shown in example), then end on Row 4 and continue to final row to start border OR fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

Final Row to Start Border: (I used the same color that I finished row 4 with)

Ch 1 and turn, 1 sc in same st, 1 sc next st, skip 2 sts, 3 sc in next ch 3 sp, skip 2 sts, *1 sc in next 2 sts, skip next 2 sts, 3 sc in next ch 3 sp, skip next 2 sts, repeat from*, 1 sc in last 2 sts. -  92 (112) dc

Border: (I used a different color for each round)

Round 1: Ch 1 and turn, sc around the entire blanket, placing 2 sc in the corners, join.

Rounds 2-3: Ch 1 (do not turn), sc around the entire blanket, join.

Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.
