After I designed the Brick by Brick Blanket, I knew I wanted to have a coordinating pillow. Pillows are a great way to add personal design elements to a nursery, bedroom or living room. The Brick by Brick Pillow is perfect to customize for that adorable newborn sleepy photo prop or to give as a gift. Same with the Brick by Brick Blanket, I used 3 different colors to create the "bricks" for the pillow. The only difference between the two is that for the blanket, I used grey as the solid color and with the pillow I used a white shade for the solid color. Even though the two solid colors are different, they coordinate together.

- Yarn: Medium, Weight 4; Example made with I Love This Yarn (Ivory, Ocean & Hot Rose)
- Hook: K (6.50mm)
- Tapestry Needle, Scissors and Measuring Tape

Notes
- Chain 3 will count as a Double Crochet.

Front Pillow:
You Need Your K Hook and Your Color Choice
Row 1: Foundation Single Crochet 45 (51, 69, 75, 93)
Row 2: Ch 3 and turn, 1 dc in next 2 sts, *ch 3, skip next 3 sts, 1 dc in next 3 sts; repeat from*, across. - 24 (27, 36, 39, 48)
Row 3: Ch 3 and turn, skip 3 dc, *1 dc in next 3 sc below, ch 3, skip next 3 dc; repeat from*, across, 1 sc in last sc. - 21 (24, 33, 36, 45)
Row 4: Ch 3 and turn, 1 dc in next 2 dc below, *ch 3, skip 3 dc, 1 dc in next 3 dc below; repeat from*, across. - 24 (27, 36, 39, 48)
Row 5: Ch 3 and turn, skip 3 dc, *1 dc in next 3 dc below, ch 3; repeat from*, across 1 sc in last dc. - 21 (24, 33, 36, 45)
Repeat Rows 4 & 5 until the pillow measures 12 (14, 18, 20, 24) inches long, ending on row 4, then move to final row and border.
Final Row: Ch 1 and turn, 1 sc in same st, 1 sc in next 2 dc, 1 dc in next 3 dc below, *1 sc in next 3 dc, 1 dc in next 3 dc below; repeat from*, across. - 45 (51, 69, 75, 93)
Border
Round 1: Ch 1, 1 sc in the same st, 1 sc in the next st and each st around, placing two sc in each corner, join.
Fasten off and weave in all loose ends, move to the back and then join the front and back cover together.
Back Pillow:
You Need Your K Hook and Your Color Choice
Row 1: Foundation Single Crochet - 45 (51, 69, 75, 93)
Row 2: Ch 3 and turn, 1 dc in next st and each st across. - 45 (51, 69, 75, 93)
Repeat Row 2 until the pillow measures 12 (14, 18, 20, 24) inches long, then move to border.
Border
Round 1: Ch 1, 1 sc in the same st, 1 sc in the next st and each st around, placing two sc in each corner, join.
Fasten off and weave in all loose ends, move to join the front and back cover together.
Joining Pillow:
Place the two wrong side’s together, sc around ¾ of the pillow cover, then place the pillow inside and sc the last side together.
Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.
