Get Hooked on Socks, January Pattern
Are you ready to Get Hooked on Socks? I have fallen in love with making socks and I hope you are excited to get hooked on socks if you aren't already!

I wanted to start the first sock pattern of the year using basic crochet stitches (sc, hdc and dc) but in a way to create a beautiful texture too! In December I released the Simplicity Socks and those were mostly half double crochet with a single crochet heel.
Crochet Tip: If you have made a crochet hat, then you can make a crochet sock! A crochet sock (toe up) is worked very similar to a hat, but you have add the heel. The heel in this pattern is worked back in forth in rows with a little decreasing and then increasing. Even though it is a sock pattern, which can be an advanced project to do, it is still great for a beginner project to work up.
Now this is not just a sock pattern release this is also a crochet along! Crochet alongs are great excuses to get in your daily crochet time! This crochet along is done at your own pace, so start and finish whenever you time to work on it. You could get them both done in a day but a weekend project is something fun to look forward too. Also these little pretties are small and you can take them with you as well!
Guess what? Just by making the Sparkling Socks you are entered to win a pair of these beautiful Sock Blockers from Knitting Left! Did you know, that if you make the January, February and March socks and share your project photo on Ravelry, you are entered to win these pretties!
So what do you need to make these socks?
You need sock yarn (weight 1), I got my yarn from Arkansas Yarn Co and she designed a special color for the Sparkling Socks! You can grab the yarn here! You will will need you H (5.00mm) Hook and a Tapestry needle to weave in those ends. That's it! That is all you need to make a pair of Sparkling Socks!
