The Double V Crochet Stitch is a beautiful crochet stitch that is created by using a basic crochet stitch, the double crochet stitch. To create this stitch, it is all about the placement of those double crochets.  When you work two double crochet stitches together, you create that "V" look and you see many lines of "V".  If you know how to work a a double crochet, then you will be able to work up the Double V Crochet Stitch!

  • Tapestry Needle, Scissors and Measuring Tape

Pattern Key

  • St/Sts: Stitch(es)
  • Ch: Chain
  • Dc: Double Crochet
  • Chain 1 will NOT count as a stitch
  • Chain in Multiples of 2 + 2 for the base chain


Row 1: 2 dc in 4th ch from hook, *skip next ch, 2 dc in next ch; repeat from*, across until the last 2 chs, skip 1 ch, 1 dc in last ch.  

Row 2: Ch 1 and turn, 1 dc in same st, skip next st *2 dc between the 2 dc below, skip next 2 sts; repeat from*, across, 1 dc in last st.

Repeat Row 2 until desired length is reached.
