The Reverse Slip Stitch is a beautiful and simple way to easy way to add more detail to your crochet project.  The amazing thing about this crochet stitch is that it is essentially working a slip stitch backwards.  It is amazing how you can a crochet stitch that you know how to make and simple work it in a different way and it creates a unique new crochet stitch!! I have use reverse slip stitch on blankets and beanies before.  What kind of crochet project would you add the reverse slip stitch onto?

Materials
  • Yarn: The stitch sample is made with Leither Co. April Showers (Sport Weight)
  • Hook Size: Leither Co. E - 3.5mm
  • Tapestry Needle, Scissors and Measuring Tape

Pattern Key

  • St/Sts: Stitch(es)
  • Ch: Chain
  • Sc: Single Crochet
  • Hdc: Half Double Crochet
  • Dc: Double Crochet
Notes:
  • Chain 1 WILL count as a stitch
  • You will need to have a piece of crochet fabric to work this crochet stitch onto. 
Foundation
  • This can be worked onto any multiples of stitches. 

Pattern 

Row 1: Chain 1, *(working to the right) work 1 slip stitch in the next stitch; repeat all way across.
