That would be so adorable! Okay, someone must do that and share a photo! The Lemon Beanie crochet pattern includes sizes from newborn to large adult, so everyone will be able to wear a Lemon Beanie! This crochet pattern uses simple crochet stitches to make and then just a little but of sewing involved to get the lemon topper and leaf put on top. Get ready to make Lemon Beanies!

Materials
- Yarn: Medium, Weight 4; Yellow and Green. Example made with Vanna’s Choice (Ducky & Kelly Green)
- Hooks: H (5.00mm) & K (6.50mm)
- Tapestry Needle, Scissors and Measuring Tape
- Optional: Fiber Fill
Sizing
- Gauge: 12 Stitches and 10 Rows = 4”x4” (hdc) with K hook
- These measurements are approximated, measure head to get accurate sizing needed.

Make a Magic Ring,
Round 1: Ch 1, 7 sc in loop, join with a sl st in the 1st sc, pull tight. - 7
Round 2: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each st around, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 14
Round 3: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next st, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st; repeat from*, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 21
Round 4: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next 2 sts, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 2 sts; repeat from*, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 28

3-6 Months: (Circumference 15-16” and Height 6”)

Top of the Lemon
You Need Your K Hook and Yellow Yarn.
Make a Magic Ring,
Round 1: Ch 1, 5 sc in loop, join with a sl st in the 1st sc, pull tight. - 5
Round 2: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 2 hdc in next st and each st around, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 10
Round 3-5: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next st and each st around, join. - 10
Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew onto the center top of the beanie.
Optional: Fill the top with Fiber Fill to help keep its round shape.
Leaf
You Need Your H Hook and Green Yarn.
Make a sl knot, leaving a 10” tail
Ch 9
Row 1: 1 sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 hdc in next st, 1 dc in next 3 sts, 1 hdc in next st, 1 sc in next st, sl st in next st. You are now going to work on the other side of the base chain.
Row 2: Ch 1, sl st in next st, 1 sc in next st, 1 hdc in next st, 1 dc in next 3 sts, 1 hdc in next st, 1 sc in next st, sl st in next st.
Fasten off and weave in any loose ends, sew just the corner of the leaf onto the beanie.
