Every little frog needs a lily pad to hang out on in the pond and the possibilities with the Lily Pad Blanket are endless. This project uses simple crochet stitches to make the Lily Pad Blanket and is a great beginner project to work on working in the round and increasing. The Lily Pad Blanket could be made in any shade of green and you can add as many flowers as you like!

- Yarn: Medium Weight Yarn, Green, White and Yellow, Weight 4; Sample is made with Vanna’s Choice (Kelly Green, White and Ducky)
- Hooks: J (6.00mm) & K (6.50mm)
- Tapestry Needle, Scissors and Measuring Tape

- Gauge: 12 Stitches and 10 Rows = 4”X4” (hdc with K hook)
- Finished measurement of blanket is 16” circumference.

- Chain 1 will not count as stitch.

Do not turn, sc down and up the split. Fasten off & weave in all ends. The outer rim will curl up.
Lily Pad Flower
You Need Your J Hook, Yellow and White Yarn.
Start with Yellow, leave a long tail and Make a Magic Ring,
Round 1: Ch 1, 5 sc in loop, join with a sl st in the 1st sc, pull tight and join. - 5
Round 2: Ch 1, 1 sc in same st, 2 sc in each st around, end with 1 sc in same st as ch 1, join with white yarn. - 10
Round 3: Chain 2, (1 dc, 2 tr, 1 dc, ch 2) in the same st, sl st in next st, *ch 2, (1 dc, 2 tr, 1 dc, ch 2) in next st, sl st in next st; repeat from*, until you have 5 petals.
Fasten off and weave in any loose ends and sew the petal(s) to the blanket.
