  • Yarn: Bulky, Weight; Example made with Deborah Norville (Pristine)
  • Hook: K (6.50mm)
  • Tapestry Needle, Scissors and Measuring Tape
  • 1 ½ Inch Button

Sizing

  • Gauge: 12 Stitches and 5 Rows = 4”x4” (Dc)
  • These measurements are approximated, measure the person’s head to get accurate sizing needed.

You Need Your K Hook and Your Color Choice of Yarn.

Chain 5

Row 1: 1 dc in the 2nd ch from the hook and each st across. - 4

Row 2: Ch 1 and turn, 2 dc in same st, 1 dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in last st. - 6

Row 3: Ch 1 and turn, 1 dc in same st, 1 dc in next st and each st across. - 6

Row 4: Ch 1 and turn, 2 dc in same st, 1 dc in next 4 sts, 2 dc in last st. - 8

Row 5: Ch 1 and turn, 1 dc in same, 1 dc in next st and each st across. - 8

Row 6: Ch 1 and turn, 2 dc in same st, 1 dc in next 6 sts, 2 dc in last st. - 10

Rows 7-25: Ch 1 and turn, 1 dc in same, 1 dc in next st and each st across. - 10

Row 26: Ch 1 and turn, 1 dc in same st, dc2tog, 1 dc next 4 sts, dc2tog, 1 dc in last st. - 8

Row 27: Ch 1 and turn, 1 dc in same st, 1 dc in next st and each st across. - 8

Row 28: Ch 1 and turn, 1 dc in same st, dc2tog, 1 dc next 2 sts, dc2tog, 1 dc in last st. - 6

Row 29: Ch 1 and turn, 1 dc in same st, 1 dc in next st and each st across. - 6

Row 30: Ch 1 and turn, 1 dc in same st, dc2tog twice 1 dc in last st. - 4

Do NOT fasten off, continue to button loop and edging.

Button Loop: Ch 8 and join with a sl st into the 4th st on the other side of Row 30, do not fasten off, continue to edging.

Edging: Sl st in each st around the wrap, including the ch 8 for the button loop.

Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

Button: Sew a 1 ½ inch button onto the opposite side of the wrap to join.
