As a mom of 3 little girls, a Messy Mom Bun Beanie is a must for me around here. Majority of the time I have my hair up in a bun but when it is cold out the few weeks out of the winter months here in Texas, I enjoy wearing a beanie (and making them) but if I need to run out the door, the Messy Mom Bun Beanie is a fabulous alternative to wear to help keep my head warm. The Messy Mom Bun Beanie is a beanie that can be made in any color and be beautiful, I have one in aqua blue and a sparkle cream and they are my favorite everyday beanie to wear on those chilly days and I don't have to fix my hair to head out the door.

Notes
- Chain 1 will NOT count as a stitch.
- Joining: When ending the rounds, you will join with a slip stitch into the 1st stitch (not the chain 1).
- When you start the beanie, you have the option to use a hair tie. There are instructions to use the hair tie or begin the beanie with a double crochet foundation.
- The final measurement of the beanie is ½ an inch shorter than typical beanies due to the gap in the top.
