I have a huge love for ombre color schemes, especially when it has beautiful texture too. A couple years ago I designed the Hope Chevron Blanket and I designed it with a pink ombre theme. When I made the swatch for the texture for the Oliver Blanket, I thought it would look beautiful using a green ombre color scheme. I loved designing this new blanket, the Oliver Blanket uses shades of green from Cascade Yarns using their Avalon yarn. Avalon is a medium weight yarn that is half acrylic and half cotton.

This is my 3rd time working with this yarn and it so soft and squishy and even though it is a medium weight yarn it is not heavy, thanks to the cotton blend it has a nice cool feeling.
