  • Yarn: Medium, Weight 4; Your Color Choice. Sample is made with I Love This Yarn (Burnt Pumpkin and Ivory)
  • Hook: K (6.50mm)
  • Tapestry Needle, Scissors and Measuring Tape

  • Gauge: 12 Stitches and 10 Rows = 4”x4” (hdc)
  • These measurements are approximated, measure head to get accurate sizing needed.

Special Stitches:

  • Chain 1 will NOT count as a stitch.
  • Joining: When ending the rounds, you will join with a slip stitch into the 1st stitch (not the chain 1).
  • When you work the 7 dc, you will be working in the ch 1 of the ch 3 NOT the dc7tog, if you work the 7 dc in the dc7tog the circle will not line up it will be off centered.

Repeat Rounds 12-15 until the beanie measures 5 inches for newborn, 5.5 inches for 1-3 months, 6 inches for 3-6 months, 6.5 inches for 6-12 months, 7 inches for 1-2 years, 7.5 inches for 3-10 years and teen, 8 inches for adult or 8.5 inches for large adult.

Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.
