
Okay, one baby design that is a must, would be the Puppy Baby because HELLO, it is so cute! I love this fun little baby design, it looks advanced but is super simple to work up. Every little baby needs a puppy photo shoot, especially if you have a family dog, that would be an adorable photo. That is what I love about newborn props, you can create a scene with just some small crochet designs and a blanket. Of course pups love to nap, so it is a great pair! These design comes with a puppy bone too!

- Yarn: Medium, Weight 4; Your Color Choices. Example made I Love This Yarn (Taupe, Chocolate, Ivory)
- Hooks: H (5.00mm) & K (6.50mm)
- Tapestry Needle, Scissors and Measuring Tape
- 2 Buttons for Eyes
- Optional: Fiber Fill for the bone
Sizing
- Beanie, Ears, Tushy and Tail Gauge: 12 Stitches and 10 Rows = 4”x4” (hdc using K Hook)
- Eye Patch and Bone Gauge: 16 Stitches and 16 Rows = 4”x4” (sc using H Hook)

Notes
- Chain 1 will NOT count as a stitch.

Round 2: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each st around, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 14
Round 3: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next st, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st; repeat from*, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 21
Round 4: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next 2 sts, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 2 sts; repeat from*, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 28
Round 5: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next 3 sts, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 3 sts; repeat from*, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 35

Repeat Round 6 until the beanie measures 5 inches tall for newborn or 5.5 inches tall for 1-3 months. Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.
Puppy Ears (Make 2)
You Need K Hook and Your Color Choice of Yarn
Make a Magic Ring,
Round 1: Ch 1, 7 sc in loop, join with a sl st in the 1st sc, pull tight. - 7
Round 2: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each st around, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 14
Round 3: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next st, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st; repeat from*, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 21
Round 4-14: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next st and each st around, join. - 21
Round 15: Ch 1, 1 sc in same st, *sc2tog, 1 sc next st; repeat*, join. - 14
Round 16: Ch 1, 1 sc in same st, 1 sc in next st and each st around, join. - 14
Fasten off and weave in any loose ends, leaving a long tail to sew the ears onto the beanie, before sewing the ears onto the beanie, sew Round 16 shut to make it easier to sew on. Sew the ears on the sides of the beanie on Round 5.
Eye Patch and Black Button Eyes
You Need H Hook and Your Color Choice of Yarn and 2 Black Buttons.
Make a Magic Ring,
Round 1: Ch 1, 7 sc in loop, join with a sl st in the 1st sc, pull tight. - 7
Round 2: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each st around, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 14
Fasten off and weave in any loose ends, leaving a long tail to sew the eye patch onto the beanie. But first sew one black button onto the center of the patch, then sew the patch onto the beanie. Line up the other button eye and sew it onto the beanie.
Puppy Nose and Mouth
You Need Tapestry Needle and Your Color Choice of Yarn.
Using your Tapestry Needle weave a triangle shape nose and then weave a smile for the mouth.
Tushy Cover: (6 ½” diameter)

Round 1: Ch 1, 7 sc in loop, join with a sl st in the 1st sc, pull tight. - 7

Round 2: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each st around, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 14
Round 3-7: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next st and each st around, join. - 14
Round 8: Ch 1, hdc2tog around, join. – 7
Fasten off and weave in any loose ends, leaving a long tail to sew the tail around the magic ring of the tushy cover.
Puppy Bone:
You Need Your H Hook and Your Color Choice of Yarn.
Make a Magic Ring,
Round 1: Ch 1, 7 sc in loop, join with a sl st in the 1st sc, pull tight. - 7
Round 2: Ch 1, 1 sc in same st, 2 sc in each st around, end with 1 sc in same st as ch 1, join. - 14
Round 3: Ch 1, 1 sc in same st, 1 sc in next st, *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st; repeat from*, end with 1 sc in same st as ch 1, join. - 21
Fasten off first circle.
Make second circle following Rounds 1-3, but do not fasten off.
Round 4: Ch 1, 1 sc in same st, 1 sc next 4 sts, join 1st circle, 1 sc in next 19 sts of circle 1, leaving the last 2 sts unworked, working back with circle 1, 1 sc in next 13 sts. – 37
Note: There will be 2 sts in each circle unworked for Round 4.
(When you finish, go back and sew close the stitch space)
You will now be working in continuous rounds, do not join, use a stitch marker!
Stop and stuff each circle with fiber fill!
Round 5: Ch 1, 1 sc in same st, *sc2tog, 1 sc next 4 sts; repeat from*, do not join. - 31
Round 6: Ch 1, 1 sc in same st, *sc2tog, 1 sc next 3 sts; repeat from*, do not join. - 25

Join, fasten off and weave in any loose ends.
You are now going to make the other side of the bone, you will repeat rounds 1-9 and then leave a long tail. Stuff the bone and sew the two sides together.
