Swirl Beanie Crochet Pattern

The elegant Swirl Beanie is a beautiful textured beanie for all ages. The texture of this beanie makes it lightweight to wear and addicting to make! The Swirl Beanie has a lace look to it but we are using a medium weight yarn, so that those stitches really stand out and create that swirl look.

Yarn: Medium, Weight 4; Example made with Vanna’s Choice (Plum Jam)
Hook: K (6.50mm)
Tapestry Needle, Scissors and Measuring Tape
Optional: Stitch Marker

Gauge: 12 Stitches and 10 Rows = 4”x4” (hdc)

Special Stitches:

Dc4tog (Double Crochet 4 Together): *Yarn over, insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull up loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops; repeat*, a total of 4 times, yarn over, draw through all 5 loops on hook.

Round 1: Ch 1, 7 sc in loop, join with a sl st in the 1st sc, pull tight. - 7

Round 2: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 2 hdc in each st around, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 14

Round 3: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next st, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st; repeat from*, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 21

Round 4: Ch 1, 1 hdc in same st, 1 hdc in next 2 sts, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next 2 sts; repeat from*, end with 1 hdc in same st as ch 1, join. - 28
