Wildflowers Cowl Crochet Pattern

Wildflowers Cowl Crochet Pattern

Designing crochet cowls have become one of my favorite things lately, they are quick to work up and you can get as creative as you want with texture and color.  You can also work them in continuous rounds or in rows and then join together at the end.  Cowls are one of those things that you can dress up an outfit or use it to stay warm or both. Do you wear cowls?

Back in October we took a trip out to Blue Mule Farm and oh my gosh, the place was amazing! I loved that it was out in the middle of no where, the wine was delish and the yarn, don't forget the yarn, it was so colorful and it was so hard to pick my favorite, but I found one.  The Boots and Spurs dk yarn, spoke to me, I loved that it not only had my favorite gorgeous colors in it (pink, purple, teal and more) but the colors were a bit more muted and not as bright as I would of naturally gone with but it was absolutely beautiful!  It has been a bit crazy around here lately, that it took my awhile to find some time to work it up and I also had to decide on the perfect project.  The other day, I took a complete afternoon and enjoyed just crochet time, where I designed something new and it was amazing to sit back and crochet, I had really missed that!  It really inspired me to pick up my crochet hook and get back into designing more.  I use to crochet a lot, at least a couple hours every day and was designing new designs all the time and I was constantly inspired, so I have decided to make sure that I can find more time everyday where I can pick up my crochet hook and work on something new.  I am so glad I did the other day because now I have this gorgeous cowl!

Beanies that I Love!!

1.  Vintage Ripple Beanie   2. Morgan Beanie   3. Jelly Bean Beanie

I knew when I opened up the skein of yarn and started working up the foundation single crochet stitch, I knew that this yarn was going to be beautiful!  When working with hand dyed yarn or variegated yarn, I loved yarns that work up with multiple colors and the quick color changes.  Do you know how to work the foundation single crochet? If not, here is a tutorial how.
